Bunju Multipurpose Training Centre (MTC)

The MTC was officially opened September 5, 2003. It provides wholistic sevices for 100 vulnerable adolescents. A two year vocational training geared to empower the youth to become self-reliant and confident members of society has been introduced. The MTC has begun with up market carpentry and high quality tailoring courses linked to the National Vocational Training Program known as VETA. It has also started its second (18 month long) Multimedia course for 10 vulnerable adolescents. The Multimedia course provides training in theater, dancing and music with the goal that the graduates can earn their living in the growing and expanding entertainment industry in Tanzania.

MTC is working on how to expand the training to include additional courses such as Horticulture and basic Information Technology
